En agosto de 2006, Klock Werks ganó el programa Biker Build-Off de Discovery Channel con una Road Glide ahora conocida como la WFB (World's Fastest Bagger). No 3 semanas después de construir la WFB, el equipo estableció un récord nacional de velocidad en tierra en Bonneville Salt Flats. Mientras se realizaban los intentos, el equipo experimentó una oscilación a alta velocidad.
Fue entonces cuando nació el parabrisas original y patentado Flare®.
