A SHELTON EINERWOLD CUSTOM 1991 HARLEY-DAVIDSON FXRT
The Story Behind Kaizen
Some bikes are built to make noise. Others are built to make a statement. Kaizen does both.
Named after the Japanese concept for “continuous improvement,” this custom 1991 FXRT embodies the philosophy of never settling and always refining. For builder Shelton Einerwold, Kaizen wasn’t just about putting parts together. It was about the why behind every piece, the function behind the form, and the journey of evolution through the build process.
This build wasn’t thrown together—it was fought for. Builder Shelton Einerwold took this custom FXRT from bare frame to dialed-in machine through serious trial and error. Electrical headaches, parts hunting, and long hours in the garage were all part of the process.
But that's what Kaizen means—relentless forward motion. Every bolt turned was another step toward something better.
This FXRT was built to be ridden hard and admired even harder. It doesn’t shout. It doesn’t apologize. It just performs. That’s the beauty of custom.

Refined Function. Detailed Style.
Shelton didn't just want a cool bike—he wanted one that worked better. He leaned into clean lines, bold decisions, and maximum performance. The result? A vintage FXRT with modern soul. Packed with purpose and dripping in timeless style.
Klock Werks was proud to play a role in this one, with our signature FXRP Fairing, custom-cut front fender, Trifecta Blocks, Shelton Risers, and the Bronze Flare® Windshield, one of the first of its kind.
