In June 2019, disaster struck the Klock Werks HQ when a severe flash flood ripped through Mitchell, South Dakota. The storm dropped inches of rain in hours—overwhelming drainage systems and sending a torrent of water straight into the shop.
Flooded Floors, Fueled Spirits
More than 3 feet of water filled the Klock Werks building, covering the shop floor, submerging tools, bikes, equipment, and inventory. But what could’ve been a total loss turned into a rallying moment for the Krew. With help from friends, family, customers, and the local community, cleanup started within hours.
From Setback to Comeback
We didn't just mop floors—we rebuilt stronger. The flash flood tested our limits, but it also revealed what really drives Klock Werks: passion, grit, and our people. The Krew was back in business faster than anyone expected, with a renewed commitment to what we do and who we do it for.
