Frequently Asked Questions About Klock Werks Motorcycle Handlebars

Performance and Comfort

Yes. Most stock handlebars are designed for an "average" rider who doesn't exist. If you’re reaching too far forward or your wrists are at an awkward angle, you’ll feel it in your shoulders and between your blades. Bars like the Ergo line or adjustable KlipHangers allow you to put your hands where they naturally want to be, which takes the strain off your upper body.

For the long haul, ergonomics win every time. Our Ergo Bars are specifically engineered to reduce wrist stress and fatigue on extended rides. If you want more adjustability, KlipHanger Bars are another great option. Their innovative machined Klamps allow you to position the control and grip section exactly where your wrists feel most natural, then lock everything securely in place using the same technology found in clip-on race bars.

Fitment and Compatibility

Most of our bars, including the Ergo and KlipHanger lines, are pre-drilled and slotted for internal wiring. This allows you to hide those wires inside the DOM tubing for a much cleaner, custom look on your front end.

Technical and Installation

It depends on the height. For many mid-height bars, your stock cables will work just fine. However, if you are going for a dramatic increase in height or width, you will likely need extended lines. Check the specific product listing on our site; we provide detailed recommendations and often include necessary hardware or cables in our fit kits to make the process easier.

DOM stands for Drawn Over Mandrel. It’s a process that produces a stronger, more consistent, and smoother steel tube compared to standard welded tubing. For you, that means a set of handlebars that can handle the vibrations of the road and the rigors of hard riding without failing.

Customization and Style

If you choose the KlipHangers, yes. Our patented "Klamps" allow you to rotate the grip section to the exact angle that fits your wrists. This is a game-changer for riders who have had wrist injuries or just have a very specific preference for how they hold the grips.
