What Does It Actually Take for a Phone Mount to Be Truly Secure?

Not all phone mounts that claim to be secure actually are. Security on a motorcycle or off-road vehicle is a different standard than security on a kitchen counter, and a mount that handles one environment often fails the moment conditions change.

A genuinely secure phone mount needs to perform across four areas simultaneously. It needs the grip strength to hold your device through vibration, impacts, and sharp direction changes. How Long Do High-Quality Neodymium Magnets Actually Last?

This is a question worth answering directly because it speaks to the long-term value of the system. High-quality neodymium magnets lose an estimated one percent or less of their magnetic strength per century under normal conditions. That is not a typo. The iOcore™ magnet in your mount will outlast every phone you ever put on it, every mount bracket you attach it to, and very likely the motorcycle itself. Compare that to the spring in a mechanical clamp, which begins fatiguing from its first use and degrades measurably within a single riding season.
