The Indian® Scout® is light, low and quick, which is exactly why riders love it. It's also why the wind hits you hard once you get on the highway. With no fairing and a short stock screen, most Scout riders feel buffeting in their helmet and pressure on their chest well before the ride is over.
The Klock Werks® Flare® Windshield Air Management Kit was designed to fix that. It pairs a patented Flare® windshield with adjustable Flare® Wings, so it manages the air coming at you and the air rising from below the shield. What Indian Scout Air Management Really Means
A windshield that just blocks wind doesn't solve the problem. It pushes the air somewhere else, usually straight into your helmet as turbulence. Real air management controls where the air goes, so the rider sits in a calm, stable pocket instead of a wall of swirl.
On a Scout, there are two sources of trouble. The first is air coming over the top of the windshield and hitting your head and shoulders. The second is air rising from beneath the shield and around the bars, which creates side buffeting on your torso and arms. The Flare® Windshield for Indian Scout
The heart of the kit is an OE replacement Flare® windshield sized for the Scout's proportions. At about 21.5 inches tall, measured from the top of the headlight cutout to the top of the shield, and 21 inches wide, it adds real protection without making the bike look like a tourer.
Two patented details make the difference:
- The flipped upper edge sends air up and over the rider and passenger, creating a cleaner pocket of air behind the shield.
- The hips on each side of the windshield create downforce that adds stability to the front end at highway speed.
Each Flare® windshield for the Indian Scout is made in the USA from Lexan® polycarbonate with an FMR hard coating for scratch and abrasion resistance. Choose Clear for full visibility or Tint for a darker, more custom look.
Flare® Wings: Indian Scout Wind Deflectors
Flare® Wings mount below the windshield and divert the air that rises from underneath it. That's the air responsible for side buffeting and swirl on a stock Scout. The wings adjust through 30 degrees, so you can tune the airflow to your height and riding position, and they're made from the same hard coated polycarbonate as the windshield. All attachment hardware is included.
Flare® Wings come with the Air Management Kit, and they're also sold on their own for riders who want to keep their current screen.

What's Included and How It Installs
Each kit includes the Flare® windshield and a pair of Flare® Wings with all attachment hardware. The windshield mounts to the Indian® accessory quick release brackets, which are sold separately through your Indian Motorcycle® dealer.
