Harley-Davidson® is back at it with a release of the new 2023-2024 CVO models! When we got ahold of the CVOs we were surprised with how much everyone in the building enjoyed these machines. Yes, Harley gives us a run for our money with manufacturing new parts, but this one was fun! Not only are we power housing new Flare™ Windshields, we also have Fenders coming in HOT and look amazing!
Let's Recap on the CVO
There is NOTHING more that the Klock Werks Krew wanted than to get our hands on the new 2023 Harley-Davidson® CVO models. H-D’s brand new "sharknose" fairing design on the Road Glide paired with our Flare™ Windshield, creates the optimal aerodynamic performance and rider comfort, we are so excited to release this new product. Although it may appear as a traditional air-cooled V-twin powering a bagger style cruiser at first glance, virtually every aspect is new. The 40-degree pushrod twin is bigger than ever at 1977cc, has liquid-cooled heads, variable valve timing and for the first time, riding modes - five of them to be exact.
While the chassis maintains the steel tube twin loop with twin rear shocks, notable upgrades include improved front forks, remotely-adjustable rear shocks, new Brembo radial brakes, and lighter overall construction.
One small feature that made a difference to our petite riders in the building was both bikes losing weight; with the street glide down 31 pounds and the road glide down 35 pounds - while still gaining horsepower.
There is new bodywork which is a significant evolution from that of the older models and incorporates fancy new LED lights and indicators, a new tank and larger panniers. Plus, possibly most impressively of all, there’s an all-new, massive, 12.3in TFT touchscreen dash along with all-new switchgear, entertainment and navigation options.
Word on the street is that the Road Glide ST is going to launch January 24, 2024 as well and boy does that make us excited. Our enthusiasm is through the roof, and we understand that everyone is eager to learn about the motor – rest assured, so are we! What has us particularly thrilled is the likelihood that the ST will feature the same "sharknose" fairing structure. Why is that such a big deal? Rider Comfort and Style
With the new bodywork on the CVO Road Glide and allegedly the 2024 Road Glide ST, has come a new ergonomically designed seat. In addition, this CVO Road Glide’s handlebars are also wider and flatter than the non-CVO version, to give a more natural riding position. with its more forward, frame mounted fairing, the CVO Road Glide provides a significantly roomier riding position - that we felt was a natural riding perch.
With this new body work and character we are excited to enhance the rider experience with our well-thought over and worked parts. We have so many trusted Test Riders in our building that we are confident our Flare™ will be a wonderful addition to this new whip!
Why a Klock Werks Flare™
Over the years, the original and patented Flare™ Windshield has taken the market by storm and the momentum this high-quality shield has amassed has only increased. Every day, Klock Werks is thrilled to hear how the Flare™ has changed someone’s ride, and we want to bring that same great design to as many riders as possible.
The innovative design features “hips” at the outer edge of the shield that re-route the air to add downforce to the front of the bike, improving stability versus riding with a stock shield. The “flip” at the top of the Flare™ is designed to kick the air up and back as “clean”, less turbulent air for the rider and passenger. It is made from hard-coated polycarbonate material for added durability.
